The manufacturers recommend that a preliminary test be made before marking up. Marking should be done on the reverse of the material, but if this is not possible, test on a waste piece of the same fabric to make sure that the mark can be removed. Most marks can be removed with a brisk brushing, or can be washed out if the material is washable.
